Kannur International Airport Ltd (KIAL) is an unlisted public company promoted by the Government of Kerala with the vision to build and operate an international standard airport in Kannur. Within 9 months of its opening, KIAL achieved the milestone of serving 1 million passengers, and the airport has been seeing a steady increase in passenger traffic every month since its inauguration.
Passenger Traffic (2018-19):
According to the Information Memorandum prepared by SBI CAPS, KIAL was expected to have an estimated annual traffic of:
1.65 million international passengers
0.16 million domestic passengers
